Animal Health

From the very beginning, before Newport Farm and Garden, we have focused on animal health and providing local farmers with the best products we can supply. Our roots are deep within the dairy industry as we have been supplying local dairy farmers for close to 30.

Bob first started working for Agway in the 1980's as a route truck driver, going on the road selling supplies to the farmers in the Northeast Kingdom. After graduating from Champlain College he decided to start his own business, Orleans County Dairy Supply. Working out of his garage, the business began to grow as he would supply dairy farms from Orleans, Essex, and Caledonia counties. On August 4, 2000 Bob and Tracie purchased Newport Farm and Garden, expanding from their single bay garage to the well known Agway store in the heart of Newport, VT.

Entering our 18th year of business we have branched out into different directions from where we began, but still put as much focus on animal health as we have from the very beginning. Some of the supplies we carry are North Country Dairy Supply Iodines and milk system cleaners, a full line of Poulin Grain animal feed, Lyon's First Quality Shavings, and numerous medicine's and animal supplies to help keep your farm running and animals healthy.
